The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has a special interest group in each state focused on Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
As the Victorian chair of this group I facilitate a network for Victorian Physiotherapists to update and share their knowledge on all Occupational Health Physiotherapy topics including manual handling training, ergonomics, OHS consulting, risk management and much more. I also maintain close communication with Occ Health Physio’s throughout Australia and overseas to ensure our members maintain high standards of Physio managment in the workplace.
In partnership with the national committee I’m responsible for the development and delivery of the APA Occupational Health courses throughout Australia, a role that neatly combines my three hats of Trainer, Facilitator and Physiotherapist. See the APA website for details on the upcoming Occ Health Physio Assoc (OHPA) courses.
